Enjoyment of snow sports with innovation and responsibility

The Snowsports Academy from Vienna has published its “Insight Magazine” for the third time, providing a fine overview of the status quo in winter sports: from ski instructor training and inclusion to tourism and ecology, and trends in the sports trade.
The team around project manager Martin Dolezal and editor-in-chief Martin Obermayr once again traveled through the Alps, speaking with various people about the joys and challenges of our time. Once again, they discovered the immense enthusiasm that snow sports inspire: whether through the Special Olympics, a project close to their hearts, or through the challenge of training to become a ski instructor.

“After a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic, we were able to produce our magazine again, covering a wide range of topics,” explains Martin Dolezal, Managing Director of the Snowsports Academy and President of the Vienna Ski and Snowboard Instructors Association. “I am very proud that we can present this diverse, informative, and beautifully designed magazine to all snow sports enthusiasts.”
Embracing challenges – at all levels

What motivates a young, professionally successful woman to train as a ski instructor? In a very personal portrait, Melanie talks about her motives and experiences during the training course at the Kitzsteinhorn.
Norbert Karlsböck, Managing Director of Gletscherbahnen Kaprun, and Erich Egger, Board Member of Schmittenhöhen AG from Zell am See, report on what regions can contribute to climate protection and sustainability.

"Together for a Smile" is a guiding principle at Special Olympics. This wonderful initiative demonstrates the immense joy that comes from participating in sporting challenges – and what a wonderful feeling it is to be part of society.
The experience as an economic factor
Christoph Bründl from the sports retail chain of the same name explains in detail that, in addition to optimal equipment, emotional connection also plays an important role in the enjoyment of snow sports.
And Martha Schultz, Vice President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and successful entrepreneur, explains in an interview what we can learn from Corona, how important diverse cultural exchange is in tourism and why we must do everything we can to ensure that our grandchildren can still experience the fun in the snow.
The magazine is available in print and can also be easily read online:
