Two weeks before the official start of the Ski World Cup in Sölden, a very special event took place at EUROPARK Salzburg: the official outfitting of the Ski Austria team. But on this day, the focus wasn't on the slopes – the ski stars of the Austrian Ski Federation traded their skis for high heels and their boards for the catwalk to present their new outfits for the upcoming winter season in a spectacular fashion show.

Enter the new season in style

In front of a large crowd of winter sports fans, the ski stars strutted down the catwalk, showcasing their brand-new outfits, designed to make them look great both on and off the slopes. The combination of functionality and style impressed both the audience and the athletes themselves, who proudly displayed their red-white-red colors. Manuel Feller (Alpine skiing), Vincent Kriechmayr (Alpine skiing), Anna Gasser (snowboarding), Stefan Kraft (ski jumping), Anna Gandler (biathlon), and Stephanie Venier (Alpine skiing) were the stars of the show, captivating the crowd with their effortlessly stylish appearance.

Stars up close and a diverse supporting program

But the fashion show was just one part of a diverse program that offered something for everyone, young and old. Young winter sports fans were especially thrilled: at a children's press conference, the "heroes of tomorrow" asked the athletes questions and gained fascinating insights into the lives of professional athletes. The athletes showed their humorous and approachable side, patiently answering every question.

Another highlight were the interactive stations where visitors could try their hand at winter sports. Whether on the downhill skiing simulator, at the biathlon shooting range, or in the ski jumping competitions – the enthusiasm for winter was palpable.

The A1 RollSki slope at the Snowsports Academy attracted a great deal of attention. This innovative machine offered visitors the opportunity to experience the feeling of skiing even without snow. Under the expert guidance of the training team, numerous children and adults tried skiing on the moving slope. Even Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) stars Stefan Brennsteiner and Kathi Huber couldn't resist testing the RollSki slope and showed that they are also completely in their element off-piste.

A taste of winter

With the official team outfitting and the diverse supporting program, winter has definitely arrived at EUROPARK. The combination of fashion, sports, and interactive activities thrilled visitors of all ages and sparked anticipation for the upcoming winter season. While the athletes now prepare for the World Cup opener in Sölden, fans can already dream of pristine slopes and spectacular competitions – and perhaps soon strap on their own skis, whether on real snow or on the roller ski track.
