From May 28th to 31st, 2026, the Snowsports Academy was present with its Ski Carpet at the Austrian Alpine Open. In Kitzbühel, the Snowsports Academy, in partnership with KitzSki, offered visitors the opportunity to experience skiing outside of the winter season over four event days. Around 32,000 visitors attended the top international DP World Tour event , which not only garnered significant attention for its sporting achievements but also once again proved to be a powerful platform for skiing in the Alpine town.

Skiing in the middle of a golf tournament

Kitzbühel has always been a town of sport. Known for skiing, shaped by great tennis moments, and deeply connected to the alpine lifestyle, the "Gamsstadt" (Kitzbühel) also showcased its golfing side at the Austrian Alpine Open. For the Snowsports Academy, the international DP World Tour tournament offered a unique opportunity to showcase snow sports in an unusual setting.
