From April 3rd to 14th, 2024, the Snowsports Academy's international course took place at the Kitzsteinhorn, bringing together 150 participants from 38 different countries. Under the motto "Snow Connecting People," the event proved that snow is not only a platform for sporting activities, but also a powerful medium for connecting people from diverse backgrounds.

A melange of cultures and languages
The Snowsports Academy has made it its mission to build bridges between cultures through its courses. The international course was once again a vivid example of how sport transcends boundaries. Against the picturesque backdrop of the Kitzsteinhorn, friendships were forged that overcame linguistic, cultural, and national barriers. It demonstrates that, although there may initially be points of friction, a shared passion for winter sports and the expert guidance of the instructors are sufficient to bridge differences and foster understanding.
Weather vagaries as part of the adventure
The weather conditions during the course fluctuated between very wintry with fresh powder snow and early summer conditions, testing the flexibility and adaptability of both participants and instructors. This dynamic added an extra challenge to the course, but also made the training all the more exciting.

Training and fun in the mountains
The core of the two-week course was an intensive training program that also emphasized fun and shared experiences in the mountains. The instructors paid particular attention to improving both the participants' technical skills and their understanding of safety aspects in skiing and snowboarding. From the outset, another focus was on developing group dynamics and fostering communication among the participants to create a strong sense of teamwork.
In addition to the structured training sessions, the course also offered ample opportunity to explore the picturesque region. This gave the participants – for some for the first time – the chance to experience the Austrian Alps and at the same time test their newly acquired skills in one of Austria's most famous glacier ski resorts – the Kitzsteinhorn.

A summary
With this course, the Snowsports Academy has once again proven that sport speaks a universal language, capable of uniting people regardless of their background. Participants returned home not only with improved skiing and snowboarding skills, but also with new friendships and a deeper understanding of other cultures.
The international course at Kitzsteinhorn was a resounding success and a shining example of how sport can serve as a catalyst for social integration and cultural exchange. The Snowsports Academy is already looking forward to the next season, to continuing to unite people through their passion for winter sports.
