The Snowsports Academy has successfully launched into the 2025 winter season. The first education courses for ski and snowboard instructors took place in recent weeks. During the current autumn break, training continues intensively at the Kitzsteinhorn : a total of 260 participants are taking part in the courses and benefiting from excellent snow conditions and optimal organization.

As a glacier ski resort, the Kitzsteinhorn offers ideal conditions for the start of the season. The combination of early snowfall, modern lifts, and perfect slope conditions allows for practical training as early as autumn. Theory and practice sessions are seamlessly integrated – from technical training and teaching methodology to safety and movement principles.

New training center at VAYA Zell am See

A key element of this year's season opening is the new training center at the VAYA Hotel Zell am See . The modernly equipped building is located directly at the valley station of the Schmittenhöhe and serves as accommodation and training location for numerous course groups.

VAYA Zell am See impresses with its fantastic location directly at the valley station of the Schmittenhöhe ski area, comfortable rooms, spacious facilities, and excellent catering. The friendly atmosphere and close collaboration between the hotel team and the Academy are particularly appreciated. This results in short communication channels and ideal conditions for efficient and enjoyable course operations.

Quality and motivation as a trademark

For many years, the Snowsports Academy has stood for high-quality education in alpine snow sports. The education concept combines in-depth expertise with practical content and modern teaching methods. Dedicated instructors guide participants through the training and ensure a solid preparation for starting a career as a ski or snowboard instructor.

In addition to the athletic and methodological quality, the sense of community also plays an important role. Team spirit within the courses, the exchange among participants, and the shared enthusiasm for snow sports shape the training and create a motivating learning atmosphere.

Positive outlook for the winter season

With a successful start to the winter season, the Snowsports Academy is optimistic about the coming weeks and months. Further training courses at the Kitzsteinhorn and in other training regions are already scheduled. The goal remains to prepare aspiring snow sports instructors for their work in the best possible way and to maintain the high quality standards of Austrian ski instructor education.
