From June 7th to 15th, 2025, Stuttgart will become a hotspot for tennis and winter sports fans alike. While the international tennis elite gathers on the grass of the TC Weissenhof for the BOSS OPEN , Ischgl brings real winter action to the tournament grounds with the Snowsports Academy – featuring a roller ski track that will thrill visitors amidst the summer event backdrop.

BOSS OPEN: Tennis at the highest level
The prestigious tournament has been part of the ATP Tour 250 since 2015 and is one of the few stops on Wimbledon grass . As a key event in the grass-court season between the French Open and Wimbledon, it attracts top players to Stuttgart – including, in recent years, such luminaries as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Frances Tiafoe , and Gaël Monfils . The unique location, with its panoramic views of five grass courts and the Killesberg hill, makes the event a highlight in terms of atmosphere as well.
Skiing in June? No problem thanks to the ski carpet.
In the heart of this exclusive tournament setting, Ischgl offers sporting variety away from the center court. The Snowsports Academy 's mobile ski carpet brings a real skiing experience to Stuttgart – including equipment rental and personal instruction from qualified ski instructors. Visitors can drop by spontaneously and start skiing right away.
Particularly noteworthy: In the first five days, over 400 children and adults have already used the ski carpet, around 80% of whom were on skis for the first time . The enthusiasm was huge – many will take the experience with them and perhaps repeat it soon on real snow.

Ischgl as a strong winter sports and event partner
Together with the winter sports resort of Ischgl , a premium partner of the BOSS OPEN , the event impressively demonstrates how innovative, accessible, and year-round winter sports can be today. Ischgl combines alpine expertise with lifestyle – a perfect match for the exclusive setting of the BOSS OPEN. And Ischgl is also setting new standards beyond traditional winter sports:
Ischgl Trophy – Tennis at the highest level, in the middle of winter

Austria is getting a new tennis highlight with the Ischgl Trophy . The VIP exhibition tournament will take place from December 11th to 13th, 2025 at the Ischgl Tennis Center – right in the middle of the ATP off-season. Both current and former tennis stars such as Dominic Thiem , Tommy Haas , Mischa Zverev and Fabio Fognini will compete.
With a prize purse of €100,000 , live broadcast via TV and streaming , and seating for 1,200 spectators, the tournament promises top international quality. Play will take place in two groups of three, ensuring a truly competitive atmosphere.
For Ischgl, the event is a logical step towards further expanding its range of experiences.
“The Ischgl Trophy is a unique opportunity to expand our diverse offerings with a top-class, international tennis event,” says Günther Zangerl, CEO of Silvrettaseilbahn AG. “Another highlight in the winter program that meets the high expectations of our guests.”
Experience it all until Sunday
The ski carpet is open daily until Sunday, June 15 , 2025. Whether young or old, beginner or returning skier – anyone looking for a sporty summer experience will find it here.
The tournament and its accompanying experience are organized by the emotiongroup , which has been setting new standards in international tennis for years with the BOSS OPEN – both in terms of sporting achievement and visitor appeal.
